RIIntensità R&D

R&D-intensity ratio for {legal_name} (R&D expense / total revenue, latest fiscal year, %). EXTRACTION RULES: Read research_and_development_expense_usd and total_revenue_usd from the most recent SEC 10-K / annual report. DO NOT compute the ratio yourself (LLMs are unreliable at arithmetic — a Meta audit emitted 29.5% while the reasoning said "$52.27B / $134.90B = 38.8%"). PROVIDE THE RAW R&D EXPENSE + REVENUE and let the SERVER compute rd/revenue×100: Return type="exact_numerical" with derived={op:"margin_pct", inputs:{numerator:<rd_expense_usd>, denominator:<total_revenue_usd>}}, unit="percent", source_urls=[...]. Use the SAME currency/scale for both. The server computes (numerator / denominator) × 100 and applies ratio_band (<3→30, 3-5→55, 5-8→75, 8-12→88, 12+→96); if you also include value=<rd_intensity_pct> for back-compat the server IGNORES it for scoring and flags any disagreement. Cite SEC EDGAR filing + at least one independent financial database (StockAnalysis / Macrotrends / Gurufocus / Stern NYU industry data). DO NOT compute any 0-100 score. If {legal_name} does not publicly disclose an R&D figure (private company, no R&D breakout in filings), return type="absent" reason="not_disclosed" — do NOT estimate or substitute a peer/industry value.
